In the midst of uncertainty and things not going according to our plans, God is still at work and in control. We can't always see how God is working, but He is working all things together for His glory and our good.  Will we trust Him with our full life? Advent offers a message of tremendous hope for our church family in all circumstances.

Humankind looks to save itself by looking inward, but our true hope only comes from Jesus as a light in the darkness.  When all seems dark and lost, we have a hope that is 'out of this world.'  God comes into situations that look hopeless and that's where he works the loudest.

What is truth? In this message, Harry examines this question by showing how the Wise Men an King Herod respond differently, even oppositely, to the truth of the newborn King Jesus. Attention and obedience, power and violence, and the hopeful reality of the incarnation are on full display.

In our sins, we don't receive the punishment that we deserve because of God's forgiveness and being counted as 'righteous' because of Jesus.

In love, God leads us in our sin to repentance -- rejecting sin and turning to God -- that results in changes in our hearts and lives. Repentance and forgiveness gives us fellowship with our Heavenly Father.

Are you feeling restless? In our world of instant gratification, Psalm 37 gives us peace through waiting on the Lord.  When it appears that the wicked are winning, we don't need to fret if our hearts are delighting in the Lord vs. fleeting passions that don't fulfill. 

Listen to hear about the security we have by trusting in the Lord in all areas of our life and taking refuge in Him.

Listen as we pray through Psalm 73 as a church together.  The Psalmist shows us how to pray through our doubts -- starting with what we know to be true about God, confessing where we struggle to believe, and applying the good news to our doubts. It's not enough to simply pray our feelings, but to pray in light of God's goodness.

In this Psalm, David is praying not just out of his own requests, but praying into the character of God

The Psalmist comes to God in the rawness of his emotions, crying out to God as David waits on the Lord. Even in midst of David confronting his sin, he is able to recounting the Hope he has because of God's faithfulness.

As we do Life Together as a family, we also are called to a great purpose -- being witnesses to one another, and the world around us, for what God has done in our lives and the freedom that comes through faith in Jesus! But we're not alone...we have the body of Christ but also the power of the Holy Spirit working in each of us!

As we do Life Together as a church, we don’t have to pretend that we have it all together because none of us do!  We don’t celebrate or condone sin. But we also don’t condemn each other’s sins.  Yet we can walk together in the light, confessing our sins to one another, restoring one another by pointing back to our hope in Christ, because we are all in need of a Savior!

Within the family of God, we are called not to be 'sin police' but to rightly restore one another's desires towards the true object of our desires--which exists within relationship with our Heavenly Father. We restore 'gently' in spirit of healing, not further wounding as we are all sinners in need of grace!

What does the Bible say about healthy community as we live church as a family?  We bear one another's burdens and let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts.

A life rightly centered on God is a life centered on others.  What does it look like for us to lay down our preferences and seek to love and serve those around us as Christ has called us to surrender ourselves?

As we start this new series, we seek to be the church as a family together.

Belief is a commonly used word in culture, but what is different about belief in Jesus? John wrote the whole Gospel of John so that we may believe, and have life through Jesus! Believing in Jesus, and surrendering our lives to Him, is transformative and life-giving in a way that nothing else could ever satisfy!

Jesus showed up again and again for the disciples post-resurrection, welcoming them into relationship and being with them even in the midst of their ordinary lives. Peter was restored to Jesus, lovingly and graciously, after previously denying even knowing Jesus. It's a picture of Jesus' never-ending pursuit of lavishing grace upon us, even when we don't deserve it. We're not called to a life of perfection, but  life of great repentance and belief!

Thomas was a beloved disciple of Jesus, but even he had doubts that Jesus had truly risen from the dead. Hear how Jesus lovingly responded to Thomas' doubts and why we are encouraged to entertain our doubts as a way of strengthening our belief and trust in Jesus.

Jesus appears to the disciples in the upper room and they have a personal encounter with the resurrected Son of God. It is not only a disrupting event that changes their lives but gives them peace and a life purpose of how to live in light of the resurrection.

Mary Magdalene had the first encounter with Jesus post-resurrection, followed by Peter and John. If we indeed believe it's true, it should be more than MOTIVATIONAL but be TRANSFORMATIONAL in our lives!

It's hard to imagine a society living with "troubled hearts" more than ours. The same was true for Jesus' disciples, whose anxiety and fear were at an all-time high on the eve of His crucifixion. When you think about it, there's one thing that's at the source of both our greatest joys and greatest pains. It's commitment! Whether we're talking about the love of a spouse, lifelong friendship, a satisfying career, or even a favorite sports team, commitment is part-and-parcel with the joy (and pain) of those things. While commitment is not something our culture prioritizes, the reality is, it's at the center of everything. Getting catfished! It's the sad, online phenomenon in which a person is made to live in good faith to another person who doesn't actually exist. Sadly, many today are living in good faith to a God, who doesn't actually exit. Today there are so many distinct beliefs about what is required theologically, ceremonially and even behaviorally to be a Christian. Jesus once famously said that love for those who already love us is nothing unique. Everyone does that (Luke 6:32). But where do you learn the kind of love that welcomes-in the unwelcome - the kind of love that is truly radical in it's hospitality. There's only one place!
