In observing the life and ministry of Jesus in the Scriptures, numerous people have noted that he rarely (if ever) interacted with people from a distance. Whether it was the way he tangibly met the needs of the marginalized, got up-close and personal with those considered "sinners and outcasts" (so much so that he became known as a "friend of sinners") or just the way in which he interacted with his disciples; it's clear that Jesus consistently shared life with others, as he invited others to share in his life. Perhaps it's no wonder he is called "immanuel" - God with us!
